Corporate Event Photography in Chamonix: Behind the Lens at La Folie Douce

You’ve worked hard. Your team has worked hard. What better way to celebrate. Than whisking everyone off to Chamonix for a corporate event they’ll never forget. Complete with a Noah’s Ark fancy dress party?

That’s exactly what Relay Technologies did. I was their Chamonix event photographer for the night at La Folie Douce. If you haven’t been, it has to be experienced to be believed. Live DJs, après-ski energy, and a crowd that’s always ready to have the time of their lives. For corporate event photography in Chamonix, it’s hard to beat.

The theme was Noah’s Ark. Every guest had to come as a pair, dressed as animals. Lions, flamingos, penguins, dalmatians — the creativity was off the charts. I walked in and saw a room full of professionals in full animal costume. They were absolutely ready to let their hair down. I knew immediately it was going to be one of those shoots I’d remember for a long time.

How I shoot corporate events in Chamonix

I’ll be honest — I am 100% an extrovert. A camera somehow gives me permission to be the most social version of myself in any room. Corporate event photography is not a passive job. You can’t lurk in corners waiting for moments to happen. You have to be in the middle of the action. Get on the dance floor. Encourage people to dance with you. Lean into the chaos, because the chaos is where the magic is.

The Relay Technologies team were exactly the kind of group I love working with. Genuinely fun professionals who just needed a signal that it was okay to go for it. Once the first few people hit the dance floor, the rest followed. That’s when the real photos happen. The ones where people have completely forgotten there’s a camera in the room. You’re capturing joy in its most unfiltered form.

Why Chamonix is the perfect location for your corporate event

As a Chamonix-based event photographer, I’ve seen first-hand how well this town works. For company ski trips, incentive retreats, product launches, end-of-year celebrations, and team-building events of every kind. The combination of world-class mountain scenery, excellent infrastructure, and proximity to Geneva Airport makes it a genuinely brilliant choice. Especially for corporate groups flying in from across Europe.

Beyond La Folie Douce, the valley has a brilliant range of venues and experiences for groups of all sizes:

Event Venues

Index Bar & Restaurant for a buzzy après atmosphere. Le Savoy for elegant private dining, and Les Rives d’Argentière for luxury chalet-based group events with full concierge

Team Building Events

Paragliding
from Planpraz, snowshoe walks through the valley, paintballing, and electric mountain biking through alpine trails

My very first job was as an instructor on a team-building adventure programme. Photographing events like this brings back everything I loved about that work. Except now I get to capture the memories too, which feels like the best possible version of that job.

Book a corporate event photographer in the French Alps

Whether it’s a company ski trip, an incentive retreat, a conference, or an end-of-year celebration in the Alps. These moments go by fast, and everyone is too busy living them to photograph them well. That’s what a professional event photographer is there for. Not just to document what happened, but to tell the story of your team. The energy, the laughter, the ridiculous animal costumes, and the 2am dance floor moments that no one will ever forget.

Those photos become content for your company’s social media, internal comms, recruitment materials, and website. They show the world what your culture looks like. In my opinion, nothing says “great place to work” quite like a room full of people dressed as animals, dancing at altitude.

FAQ’s

What types of corporate events do you photograph in Chamonix?

Company ski trips, incentive retreats, team-building days, product launches, gala dinners, and end-of-year celebrations. If your company is heading to the French Alps, I’d love to document it.

Chamonix has something for every group. Paragliding, snowshoe walks, paintballing, and electric mountain biking are all popular choices — and they all make for brilliant photos too.
