Together, we can transform your wedding into an unforgettable adventure with A
I realised that a wedding isn’t about fulfilling other people’s expectations; it’s about creating the first day of your life together that feels meaningful.
Traditionally, elopement meant running away to marry without parental consent. However, it has evolved into an intimate wedding experience, often in a different destination. It can involve just the couple or a small group of loved ones, offering a more authentic, cost-effective, and stress-free alternative to larger, traditional weddings — especially in a setting as stunning as the French Alps
Give yourself the freedom to create a day that’s truly yours. Let go of expectations, traditions, and anything that doesn’t feel right. This is your story, your beginning—celebrate it in a way that reflects you, not what others expect. There are no rules, no limits. Just what feels real and meaningful to you.
When planning the ‘best day of my life’ I remember feeling totally overwhelmed as the guest list kept growing. I found myself torn between inviting people I hadn’t seen in years, close colleagues that I liked and would get offended if they weren’t invited and extended family my parents insisted on inviting. It felt like this day was slipping away from what I truly wanted.
In the midst of this, my husband and I made a hard call and we called my mum and told her we wanted to cancel the wedding. We had decided to elope, to bring the day back to something that felt true to us. After a tough conversation, my parents urged us to take a few days to think before making a final decision. And so we waited, holding off on invitations and reconsidering what this day meant to us.
Over those days, it became clear. The big wedding wasn’t for us. As someone who spent my younger years traveling, I couldn’t justify spending on fleeting things—flowers that would wilt, a cake I didn’t even like—just didn’t feel right.

Once we found Nicola’s profile we knew we wanted to work with her! She helped us from start to finish. We were unfamiliar with the area and she helped us pick a dreamy location, sent us tips to get the most out of our photos, and posed us in ways that felt organic and true to us. The photos reflected that as well! We’re so happy with how they came out and our experience. If you’re thinking about working with Nicola, do not hesitate!"
